We're resigned to the fact that Glomdoring will always have the lowest population

I'd laugh at the day when Ackleberry is released and it would turn out that the Glade of Happiness is the Glade of Frozen Despair. And instead of a land of flowers and sunshine, you have a land of ice devils and frozen undead. Lake always seemed kind of emotionally icy and cold in her interactions with Father Sun. Wouldn't be surprise that she went just as mad as a cost for removing Ackleberry from existence to escape the Taint. It'd be a nice theme for Ackleberry vs. Jojobo (Ice vs. Fire) conflict too. Alas, tis just wishful thinking being expressed out loud.
Then we'd have to deal with Asmodea and Phoebus going all starry eyed over the commune.

Yes, well, you also have one of the oldest! (Okay, well, they won't DIE, but...)

I always though Glomdoring had a really big population, cause apparently, if you get betrayed by Gaudi or Mag or Seren, you go to Glom

I'll keep that in mind when I'm deciding where I'll retire to.

I'm looking at the histories and I think I'd understand the conflict between Lake/Bear and Sun/Lion.
Seren is the commune of restoring the world. Glomdoring is the commune of spreading the Wyrd.
Ackleberry could be the commune of Harmony and Balance. It would only return to the world out of duty. It sees and accepts that changes must be added to the world in a functioning way. FInd a balance between Wilde/Wyrd, resist the struggle and stop one side form dominating. Think about it.. Lake stepped in to protect Night rather than allow the balance to be tipped.
Jojoba could be the commune of Self and Ego. Temperd by the harsh world outside the Basin, it would embody self reliance, predation and survival of the fittest. Pure selfish evolutionists that grow my conflict. Real egoticistal. Think about it: Sun wants, lusts, desires. It is ambition personified. Mix tht with nature and you get violent evoluton.
Now, pardon my potential ignorance if this has been discussed? Are Hallii/Gaudi getting bards and monks? Could there be other archetypes that would set Gaudi/Halli a bit apart from Celest/Mag. Could Halli/Gaudi be given alternative guilds (like say Rogue/PsyWarrior) and these alternate guilds be given to the Jojoba/Ackleberry axis? It would make the orgs not so repeitive. (Having 2 cites and communes with bard/monk and two other cities and communes with newguilds)
Just some questions and thoughts

Halli / Gaudi are not getting bards and monks if the population won't support them (supposedly).
They're extremely unlikely to create new archetypes... that's a whole lot of extra skillsets and abilities that would have to be coded instead of one extra spec per guild per organization.

A neat idea, but not likely to happen on account of our current glut of archetypes and lack of vast playerbase. Although didn't I hear somewhere that Estarra had one more archetype envisioned?

Don't forget Manteekan of the Sixth's Frankenstein army of corrupted and unstable Fae! Because Sun was chained up and put to sleep early in the Elder Wars, leaving only Great Lion to defend and project the jungle. I wouldn't be surprised if Aslarn, who was slowly becoming more desperate due to his appearance growing more weary due to defending Jojobo from countless Soulless Attacks since they were outside the Basin throughout the Books, would make back door deals with Manteekan to receive more unstable and twisted fae to help project the Jungle.

I would. Aslarn never struck me as an "ends justify the means" kinda guy.

"He was stoic and strong, though we could not help but wonder how much he hurt within. His favored jungle, Jojoba, was outside the Basin and was subject to countless attacks. I wondered how long Jojoba could last. Spirit Sun, one of the guardian spirits of Jojoba, remained in stasis, and the other guardian spirit, Great Lion, was still in mourning for the recent loss of his creator, Lorella of the Seventh Circle. Aslarn spent much of his time personally overseeing Jojoba."
"When I returned to the Fields of the Maeve, the others reported that, though the attack was focused on the Basin of Life, the forests held up remarkably well. As we each reported, Aslarn nodded and smiled, though his tired eyes told another story.
"Manteekan," Aslarn turned to the tall thin Sixth, "your new awakenings do be seeming to be able to withstand more of the Soulless attacks than many of the other fae. Do you be pleased?"
"Aye," said Manteekan, rubbing his long needlelike fingers together. "They resist as well as I expected. They are still young though, these spirits, and I expect them to become stronger and more deadly as they mature."
From the Book of Elfenehoala! He loved Jojoba so much, that he probably would have been tired and desperate enough to deploy more of Manteekan's stuff to defend it against Soulless Attacks.
Edit: Would make the rp interesting though. The idea of a org embracing unstable fae, when other communes consider it an unnatural abomination that should be salvaged and dismantled would set up Jojoba against all the other forest communes.

Glomdoring kind of already has the whole embracing of unstable fae, with other communes (Serenwilde) considering it an unnatural abomination. Also, that was right before they really figure out that Manteekan and 11 of his best friends are still making Soulless Smoothies. I agree that Aslarn didn't seem the type to embrace something like that after he found out what it was. Just my opinion though.

I thought those Fae were made stable by being converted via embrace of Mother Night. Found in this post here: Unstable Fae Discussion
From Xiel on May 25th:
Just to intercept in on this little conversation of why some of Manteekan's creations are being utilized - the explanation comes from the Wydyr quest involved the Dowager Shee-Slaugh, if I'm remembering correctly. The reason the redcaps, barghests and slaughs are around is because Night was able to salvage/transform them to some form of stability as opposed to the others which I'm assuming haven't been by any other Great Spirit.
Shoving the other fae into the Glomdoring-side of wicca would indicate unravelling this bit of history to include these fae other than the three that Night chose to give a second chance/transform, so that might hit a snag in actual implementation.
They're not pure unstable and corrupted like Manteekan's fae in form are.

That was Xiel's argument, yes. And as I said there - you do not know that one way or another. (It never says if Night succeeded or not - or if she even could. Only that she would try. She quite possibly sealed them away, only to release them later. Who knows! Again, I'm going to urge you all to write /books/ on the subject and submit them for prestige, but I fear it is a fruitless effort on my part)

I will write books! Even if there is no honour gain for my poor unloved Nightshades.

At any rate they appear to have been tolerated by Serenwilde and Ackleberry before Gloriana was Tainted.
