I'm looking for a class/guild that has cheaper startup costs than warrior. When you consider master weapons, armor, enchantments, all types of cures, and other items that I don't know about yet, it is extremely expensive for newer players.

If anyone has any suggestions, I'd be eternally grateful.

Unfortunately for those in your current guild who like you ( sad.gif ), the answer to your question is "every other class". No one is more expensive than warriors. I'm sure if you asked, though, your guildmates would help you out... /forumrp.

Monk has a fairly cheap startup cost. Not any worse than most other guilds, anyway.

Bards are probably the cheapest. To be pretty helpful in a team fight, you don't even need to get to master in music.

Bard/monk definitely get the "cheapest" award. MinorSecond is a fairly fast and strong bashing skill; monk bashing is just plain fast.

Agreed with the monk class being fast

I'd disagree in stating that bard and monk would be 'cheaper' than either melder/wiccan/guardian. He or she seems to be looking for a class that isn't so equipment-heavy and can get off the ground easily without a substantial expenditure of gold, and both monks and bards require (or eventually require) the purchase of their main bashing weapon whereas melders/wiccans/guardians conjure up their own things. They would need a shield, of course, but then so would bards, so if he or she wants a quicker start up, I'd suggest one of those three instead.

Agreed that warriors are expensive, but certain guildmates are wealthy enough to pay the way for the little ones. If you really had your heart set on being a warrior, ask around for assistance. If not, good luck in your new guild. smile.gif

I dunno, the Spiritsingers offer a free instrument upon graduation and I'm sure we aren't the only one. But once you do have your instrument, the only other investment you need is time in bonding with it and you're going to get a bashing attack that's much better than anything else at that level of lesson investment, other than monks (but I've heard that's only true at higher levels anyway).

But yeah, there are many generous people hiding out there who may help out aspiring novices.

Not really needed untill you get to higher level bashing. You'll have to sip more, yes, but it's not severe. Also entirely unneeded for influencing.
