Hello
So getting into the game as a Geomancer. Picked my race and such and got a few levels under my belt but just had a few questions that I hope could be poked at with a stick or two.
My third guild skill, Asked in game but was told "Whatever you want it to be" granted I know its a answer but well wondering if a skill outweighs another.
RUNES, DREAMWEAVING, or PSIONICS are the choices however I am not sure which will be good to pick. One day I would like to get into pvp but not sure when.
I also don't plan on spending any ooc money on credits so that leaves city, guild and overall market credits but I am sure once I get higher in levels gold won't be that hard to come by. Will this hinder my as a geomacner or just be okay?

Psionics is generally attributed to be the best tertiary skill, especially for PvP, with Dreamweaving being complained about as the worst. Haven't heard much about runes lately. You should be fine as a Geomancer without spending OOC money on credits. Plus, this month you can get up to 10 lessons per day just for logging in, so that'll give you a good early boost.

I need to start this out by saying that I play a Guardian, not a mage. However from what I have seen most mages who want to get into combat will take Psionics. As a general rule, Telekinetics is considered to be stronger 1v1 and the other one is considered to be very good in groups.
The Lusternia Wiki http://wiki.lusternia.com/Skills lists more information about the skills, so if you fall in love with dreamweaving, go for it. However, most combatant mages are psionics.
You don't HAVE to spend ooc money on credits. It will make your life easier if you do, but it is not necessary. It will require some patience, especially early on. Questing is a good way to earn gold, influencing and selling esteemed needles is nice, taking advantage of promotions, and I might recommend the facebook credits as well. Telekinetic Geomancers are a tried-and-true combination of tankiness and asswhoop.

Hey, dreamweaving is really awesome... for Hartstone Druids.
Yeah, I'd go for psionics. Compared to Telekinesis and even Telepathy, dreamweaving and runes are kind of joke options.

Sadly true. Psionics just trumps.

You can also get 10 credits per day if you install the Facebook account and invite people. They do not need to accept for it to work. If you do not want to spam your real friends, a fictional Facebook account on which you for example have a network of people from Farmville will do the trick just fine. Should note fictional accounts break the Facebook ToS, but the method itself is allowed by the IRE staff.

From what I understand, there are also a couple of ways to earn credits in Magnagora, and some guilds, so you don't have to just wait for a city or guild sale to come around. Read your city help files!

Thank you everyone.
Will use the Facebook app since then in a months time I will be able to trans a skill if all goes well.

Bashing vs influencing
Which is better at what levels? So far for the past twoish days I have just been killing a lot of Spectres and Grubs along with breaking it up with bards and pligrims. Just starting to hunt Orcs now that I found them but already can tell off peak hours will be best.
Have yet to find the monks to beg from and did try to empower a imp but well failed badly.

Depends on your race, but if you have high charisma and have invested some lessons in influence, you'll probably get experience faster with influencing until you get to a point where you're getting frequent criticals while you bash (level 80-90ish), then bashing will start to outpace influencing.

To find the monks: There's a room in the western mountains that mentions a boulder or rock. If you PROBE it, and it's there, then PUSH it to reveal the path to the Tosha monastery.
Regarding influencing: You need to remember to keep up the attacks, in a cycle. For instance, the charity type attacks are begging, supplication, and wheedling. What you'll need to do is start by INFLUENCE WITH WHEEDLING, if you have it, then WITH SUPPLICATION, if you have it, then BEGGING. When you get lowish on ego, use SIP BROMIDES.
If you don't have a sipping system, then I cannot stress enough how important it will be to set up a keybinding for each of your main three potions, so that you don't have to key in the commands. This makes it so a) You won't risk screwing up the sip command and you don't need to re-enter the previous command to continue.

Greetings, I'm new to Lusternia as well.
I was wondering if I could get some opinions as far as a good class for a dwarf charcter?

Axelord isn't half bad, though warrior combat can be frustrating. Brewmeister Bard is interesting, too.

It is more of a case of what wouldn't work well, and then picking what you think would be the most fun for you. (Regardless of whether it would work well or not, if that's not important to you!)
Knight works, especially if you go axelord, though the bonus isn't so determinative that if you want to be a different weapon type it will matter.
Guardian/Wicca would suffer somewhat due to the equilibrium penalty.
Druid/Mage would suffer some for the same. (also, the int isn't stellar.)
Monk is not suitable largely because of the dexterity score.
Bard works, but only if you take lowmagic, which will let you take alchemy, which will let you take brewmeister. In one of the more unique racial quirks, dwarves get stat alterations if they take the brewmeister trade skill that increase their charisma, and let them be passable bards. If you do not take this trade, the 10 charisma dwarves have naturally makes bards a poor choice.
Over all, you have a nice set of resists with only one disadvantage. The stats aren't anything to write home about, but on the other hand, they're solid enough for a knight or the discussed brewmeister bard.
Have fun!

Dwarf tarot researcher actually might not be awful either.

Just want to say that dex is not important for PvP as a monk, or rather, it takes secondary seat to str when you are neutral balance. Well, even if you're +2 bal, str is still more important than dex in PvP. As a monk, you'll get access to dex boosts in either acro or psymet, stealth has even more dex boosts, though I'm not sure if harmony has the same. Either way, you'll easily get a net +2/3 to your dex from basic stuff alone. Neutral balance means you'll never really shine with grapples, but with base 15 str (you can boost that somewhat) you'll back a big punch when you... well, punch. Dwarf is a great race for monks for this reason, huge resists, ability to stack that with even more resists from tattoo and decent armour from tattoos, and furthermore, you get more out of the dmp malt/beers too.
Of course, it's less optimal for bashing (debateable, tankiness can be more valuable than the bashing boost from dex, sometimes) but it's certainly a solid racial choice for monks where PvP is concerned. Perhaps less so for ninjas, who require grappling for their tendons, but certainly doable for the other specs. You'll hit softer than a krokani or tae'dae, but you don't come saddled with the bal penalties or low int, and you're almost definitely tankier.

Thanks, I think I going to try things out as a dwarf guardian and an alt as a dwarf monk. but I'm really leaning towards a guardian
