I would suggest picking one person from each city (if someone could be found from every org) and if not, at least 3-4.

I say this mostly because I understand the challenges of trying to balance other people orgs without playing in them, I believe I have a fairly good handle on Hallifax's skills, but would be utterly lost attempting Celest or Gaudiguch, I believe the real issue is just giving those few people who want to attempt large reports t he resource to make multiple changes at once.

Please, no more committees! We've done this before and I haven't been thrilled with results. I'd rather have one voice (who is free to form his/her own committee of 1 person per org to get advice). Yes, I know it doesn't -sound- fair but there really is something to have one voice and one vision take a macro-perspective rather than everyone in every organization trying to get their pet peeves addressed. The idea behind this report is to aim to address any >major< issues (you know, the type that people have been saying 'everyone' knows about and have been around 'forever').

So far, by my count, the only one who has applied is Sojiro!

I'm really against picking any one player, because there isn't one player I'd trust to be fair and objective enough while also being active enough to know what is going on. If they're playing the game and constantly participating in pvp, chances are they have emotional attachment to one party.

The only way to get a genuine macro perspective is to have this person come from outside the game. Entirely. Otherwise, you're prone to bias.

If a committee is out of the window, then just stick with the envoy system. Please.

Ok, let's just assume we are going to do one person. I know people think he or she will be unbiased or the admin won't be able to figure out if an idea is really wrong, but let's just assume we are doing it anyway.

Geb is definitely outside the game now. I'd like to see his opinion.

He'd need to be willing to apply. Everyone knows how much I respect Geb's opinions but I also know pushing him into doing something he isn't inclined to do isn't productive.

Right now, I'm looking for who will apply, not who should apply.

Not to be ungrateful, but I'd kind of prefer the envoy system if it came down to me vs. that.

Tbh, if I end up doing it, I was just going to throw up a thread and see what people have to say and then work from there.

That's fine. The point is that you (or whoever) would be the one point of contact that I can discuss the report with. I don't care how it actually manifests (if you do a forum thing or create a committee of 1 person per org) but you would still maintain the overall vision and be the point of contact.

I find it amusing that however much people complain about the envoy system, suddenly there is a surge of support for it!

Oh, I personally believe in the envoy system, and I find it to be one of the best ways of balancing things in any IRE games.

What I don't believe in are the players chosen to be envoys.

So we have Revan and Sojiro as choices! (Unless Sojiro has really dropped out.)

Can't recall any nerf to one of my abilities that was done through the envoy system, the main two I can think of were through the forums.

Oh I'm still up for it, but I'm just saying if I was going to win by default, then it'd probably be better to scrap the idea entirely.

I thought the race revamps were bad and want old tae'dae back :S Will definitely bring that up to whoever is selected since all my other efforts went unacknowledged by the admin.

Just to clarify... this isn't going to be a one person OR the envoy system in general, but just for a one-time overall report that tries to comprehensively address major imbalances in the game at present, right?
