4.26 LOOTING CORPSES

Looting or searching corpses for gold or items is never needed here.

If you kill a denizen (mobile/npc), you can get gold and items from the now-dead creature that it drops in that location for you to pick up or not as you choose.

Many corpses, especially those in the areas of Newton Caverns, may be sold to certain interested buyers. Finding those buyers is a sort of quest which can be quite rewarding!

Most corpses have no interested buyers, in which case you may then use them as offerings at a shrine to whatever Divinity you wish. These offerings help the Divinity in mysterious ways unfathomable to mere mortals. It can never hurt to have one of the Gods of Lusternia happy with you, and it may help a great deal!

Adventurer (player) corpses are not handled in the same way. If you do manage to kill another adventurer, neither gold nor possessions are involved. The adventurer leaves a corpse that may be offered up to the Divine.
