11.1.9 TERENTIA, THE EVEN BLADED
Once a lieutenant to Meridian in the ancient days, the Goddess Terentia has since remained devoted to the cause of defending Creation from the forces that seek to defile it. However, where She was once unyielding, direct, and poised to thrust Herself into the heat of battle whenever the chance arrived, Her time in the Void has tempered Her attitude. Not simply a Warrior, but a commander, Terentia forges those who seek Her into marvelous weapons in the fight for the soul of the First World. As a member of the Second Circle of the now defunct society of the Elder Gods, Terentia takes combat very seriously. She prefers careful strategy to chaotic bloodfests and excels in creating and maintaining tactical advantages. She readies Her blade against three particular foes: the Soulless Gods, the Taint, and the Twelve Traitors. She holds each in equal disdain and She seeks to eradicate their perverse influence from all forms of Life. Uncompromising in Her ideals and expectations, Terentia accepts followers who have exhibited moral fibre, intelligence, wisdom, dedication to the pursuit of Justice, and possess a similar distaste for Her foes. Despite Her unrelenting dedication to purge the world of foul powers, Terentia is not a savage goddess and finds equally important the ability to curb bloodthirst and balance a goal with wisdom, honour, and restraint. Taking the title of Even Bladed, She weighs Her decisions carefully and expects the same of those who follow Her. Terentia's symbols are varied in meaning and purpose. Above all, She prefers the judging scales, often formed by interlocking crisscrossing swords, but She also favours the materials of steel, platinum, ivory, and gold; the weighted dagger; daffodils; and the angel's halo.
