While the toys continued their assaults upon the Basin of Life, disaster
struck the gnomes as their leading researcher, Professor Gargle von
Fixit, was kidnapped by the Toymaker to some undisclosed location in
aetherspace. Being that the Professor was the only one making any
progress in tracking down the Toymaker, it was imperative that he be
found and returned. Captain Girda Skyhopper procured some gearboxes
created by the Professor, which was able to help give clues to his
whereabouts.

Armed with the gearboxes as guides, aetherships immediately began
scouring aetherspace in an effort to find the Professor. But finally, it
was Captain Talan Ysav'rai of the aethership known as the Great Arachnid
who finally found and rescued the Professor. Captain Talan was aided by
her crew, Miciah Llaewell, Xenthos An'Ryshe, Krellan of the Blacktalon,
and Sidd Ysav'rai. They were later joined by Chade Ysav'rai and Shuyin
of the Ebonguard.

The Professor has taken up residence in the Starhopper and continues
efforts to trackdown the extremely elusive Toymaker.
