As Hallifax began to work on restoring their city to full functionality,
those of Gaudiguch set about restoring their city to full debauchery.
Scuchidira Tliwx was rarely seen, lost amongst a crowd of revellers who
had discovered the High Flame's propensity for heaving great gouts of
fire into the sky after keg stands. Some became worried, concerned that
the city would be left open to attack, but in Gaudiguch, the citizenry
was too concerned with their revelry to do much towards protecting it.
With the help of the long-lived group, the Seekers of the Eternal Flame,
Manach and Karrah managed to rouse the citizenry of Gaudiguch into the
only thing that terrified Gaudiguch politicians more than laws: an angry
mob.
With the mob in full frenzy, Scuchi Mabuchi was roused from her partying
long enough to whip those who wanted to help into action. Using the
highly hallucinogenic okorushi, sprinkled into cactus weed and smoked
through a pipe, the wise, mystical dreamers began to harvest the
fantastic and wild dreams. Using the dreams of the people of Gaudiguch,
they birthed that which existed only within their dreams - the egg of a
drachou. Steeped in the ancient energies of the Cradle of Dracnoris and
tended within the Ridachi Gardens in the Menagerie of Flesh, a whelp was
born. Shibungi Iborchi set to work, proving his worth as the Forger of
Flesh. Many days went into caring for the young drachou whelp, but soon
the creature grew, maturing fully into the Guardian Drachou. Manach led
the Sacred Guardian of Gaudiguch to the Eternal Flame, there to make its
home. This provoked more celebrations and revelries, and the business of
gathering power waned once more.
Thus, the citizenry was again whipped into an angry mob, rousing the
politicians of Gaudiguch back to work. Begrudgingly, Scuchi Mabuchi left
her fire whiskey to speak with those who had taken up the work left
behind by the mysterious scientists of the Laboratory of Mu. It would
take many days of work, but the Guardian Drachou realized its ultimate
form - the Guardian Drachou now bore magnificent butterfly wings of wild
and prismatic colours. Joined by a cloud of fiery ember butterflies, the
Guardian Drachou took up its home in the Eternal Flame, ready to protect
his people from any attack.
Not long after the Drachou flew, the Eternal Flame roared, and the skies
burned with a scorching inferno, which was echoed in kind by in Mount
Zoaka, the fated site where the Elder God Dracnoris had splintered
countless aeons ago. With the Eternal Flame erupting chaos and fire, it
had become strong enough to reforge its link with the Elemental Plane of
Fire and the Cosmic Plane of Vortex.
With the city of Gaudiguch so fully restored, people returned to their
everyday lives, the wild revelries still raging well into the night. To
mark the celebrations, Scuchi Mabuchi opened the city's doors to any who
wished to join. She also reopened the Pyromancers to the new citizens.
Wild abandon followed for months to come as the city readily returned to
the general state of order it was in during the Imperial Empire's times
- that is, no order at all.
Elections were held in the newly restored city of Gaudiguch, ministers
elected for the city, many by overwhelming support. In the Pyromancers,
a more heated vote was held, but no less decisive - Ixchilgal Mes'ard
was elected the Hand of the Inferno, and Yiro Dawneye the Sage of the
Burning Truths. Indeed, the confirmation parties were only just
beginning.
