Hello Basin Friends and Allies!

Wowee! The first day of Solstice in Glomdoring was a HUGE success! Many thank yous to the many many guests that came out and provided their presence!! Am so happy! If had fun, be sure to attend our storytelling event later this month! Will begin around weave, and will offer prizes to whomever's story of Wyrden Rebirth is the =best=! Also, a Song Contest! And a Play!!

The Bazaar was a huge success! Many goods were purchased and bartered and gifted, and many foods were eaten! Many pets were loved and admired! Thank you to all the vendors who donated time and wares and presence! Was wonderful!

The Opening Ceremony held by Our Lovely Lady Haruspex was sight to behold. Really welcomed in the spirit of the season! Following the end of the Ceremony, we all offered up lanterns to the sky in celebration.

Our Design Contest winners were announced!! Good job everybody:

Theme: The Beauty of Snow-Covered Glomdoring
1st Place: Daem (insulated greatrobes of wyrden winter)
2nd Place: Evette (a necklace bearing a snowy Wyrden orb)
3rd Place: Corassai (a circlet of frosted blackthorn flowers)

The event was temporarily halted thanks to a Timequake (what timing!), but the evening concluded with two on-site contests. Both were GREAT fun, and resulted in many laughs and a very big mess.

Best Solstice Tree Decoration:
1st Place: Unitos (topped with a real person's head - so spooky)
2nd Place: Zacheah (a beautiful homage to Iklara - was most shiny)
3rd Place: Alarin (so many things, and so creative in decoration technique)
Honorary Mention: Reyqae and Evette

The final contest has made me never wish to become a tailor. Miss Kalaneya and myself asked for monstrosities and monstrosities is what we got! Let's never do this again... until next Solstice!

Ugliest Solstice Shirt:
1st Place: Zacheah (a puce-pink Solstice shirt festooned with bat entrails)
2nd Place: Kyalrhin (a truly garish solstice coat besieged with sparkling sequins)
3rd Place: Unitos (an infuriating dancing gnome sweater)
Honorary Mention: Reyqae and Alarin
