Hello again Basin Friends and Allies!
Wowee! It is hard to believe that the festival has already come and gone! Can you believe? Hope so, most of you were there!!
The evening was a bit delayed, which is fine because Mister Shaddus was giving a lecture at weave anyway. Started about half a day late, but were visited by some wonderful friends from Gaudiguch and New Celest and even had a few visitors from Serenwildes! Was quite the gathering!
The winners of Glomdoring's raffle were announced once the evening finally commenced, with the results as follows:
Jeweller's Hammer - Evette
Gloves of Harvesting - Tylwyth
Tattooist's needle - Xenthos
Commandant's Sash - Sikris
Rune of Demenses - Hani
Many thank yous to all those Wyrdenkin that signed up for the event!
The evening continued with our planned storytelling contest! Did not know what to expect, but those that gathered told us WONDERFUL tales of Rebirth and captured our attentions thoroughly!! First, we heard Miss Norra's tale of the rabbit finding its strength in the face of grief. Second, Miss Afollia's tale of the Goddess in the Void and Her sacrifice for Her creation. Third, Esei's tale of the woman and the wise, talking tree. Fourth, the Liar's story of the strange wakabi. And last but not least, Mister Eliron's tale of the young man, his cat, and the fae.
Was a hard choice to make, but the votes for the winners were almost unanimous:
1st - Eliron
2nd - Liar
3rd - Esei
Honorary Mentions: Norra and Afollia
But wait! The evening kept going?! Can hardly believe! Once the stories wrapped up our guests were encouraged to stay around for the song contest requested by Lady of Roses Herself! Mister-and-Missus Shofets, Lord Silence, and Lady of Roses Themselves all came to be judges, like promised, and we were so very lucky to have Them all there!
Though the hour grew quite late, myself, Miss Kalaneya of Glomdoring, Miss Lief of Serenwildes and Alary of Gaudiguch all offered our best pieces for the Glory of the Wyrd, and in the end the winner was ... uh, well, me! Somehow! Many thank yous?! What an honor. But many thank yous for those that performed!!
Our Second Day of Festivities ended the same way as the Third began: all gathered at the stage to watch a thrilling, heart-wrenching, gut-clenching play written and performed by our very own Spirit Warden! If have not had a chance to see, come find 'The Wyrd Rises' and give it a watch! Is the best play have ever ever seen!!
The Secret Solstice Exchange went better than expected. Many peoples showed up, and many peoples received the perfect present - really, the amount of thought and effort that went into all of gifts was amazing! When those whose gifters were not waking mentioned it, other peoples piled on to give them gifts! Was... a-ma-zing! Am so grateful to have been able to witness such a beautiful thing. Was much recognition afoot.
Festival concluded with a dance!! A dance led by none other than Mister Ironbeard Himself! Was a blast to have, so next time drops in ten times in a row on you and your friends and their friends all gathered at your Nexus, be sure to thank him for all his hard work!
Many thank yous again to everyone who came from our borders and beyond. Is an honor to have spent so much time with!
Happy Solstice!
Best Wishes,
Gurashi An'Ryshe
