Setting aside a portion
Of the bounty of the day
Fends off misery of winter
Old age, despair, and illness
Set aside also a portion
For the sake of the future of all
So is recorded Adept Chajoli's Final Precept, inspired unto her by the Great Squirrel. To honour these precepts given to the Tolborolla squirrel shrine and in recognition of your celebrations of the 700th year of this calendar, it is desired to reward those who help fill our silo the coming year or so.
For every 700 nuts you place within the silo of the squirrel shrine, one for each year being celebrated, you will receive a boon. This boon will be yours to honour the work of the day you earn it. Yours to honour the relaxation of the day you use it; yours for a day when your trees are bare, you find the cold too unbearable, or your strength has simply waned.
For those who take well into their hearts the precepts laid out by Adept Chajoli and put in the work for the next year or two, will surely find their efforts rewarded when in the future they need it most.
Penned by my hand on the 24th of Dioni, in the year 700 CE.
