Change in Village Influencing

We've re-thought village influencing, especially given some of the
conversation on the forums. We especially liked Rhysus' influence
suggestions and incorporated some of them here. Basically, anyone who is
city or commune rank 3 will get the ability to set influence campaigns
in rooms, either a sanctuary or a crusade. Sanctuaries are safe rooms
while crusades give double the bonus for influencing mobiles there. A
new skill called "debating" is available to everyone with influence and
allows a non-violent confrontation between players in safe rooms. Thus,
village influencing will be a combination of PK violence and more
peaceful persuasions. Strategy and tactics need to be developed by
cities and communes to take all these variables into account.
