Commodity Village Production

Just to make it clear on how villages produce commodities and tithe to
their liege city or commune, production will vary according to various
factors within the village. For instance, the spiders in Dairuchi
produce silk, but killing those spiders will decrease production of the
silk (possibly to 0), and selling the silk spinnerets to, say,
Stewartsville, will cause Stwartsville to produce silk (which it
normally wouldn't). Some commodity quests will permanently effect
production. For instance, the more furrikin grain farmers enslaved in
Acknor will cause Acknor to produce more grain (and Estelbar less). This
will not change until those grain farmers are freed. Of course, killing
those grain farmers will cause Acknor to produce less grain and the
unprocessed grain that the farmers dropped could be sold almost anywhere
(like, say, Delport). Indeed, as long as a city or commune controls at least
one village, commodity production can be dramatically increased by learning
these commodity quests.
Villages generally last quite a long time under a city or commune's
influence. However, if their denizens are not protected and keep dying
constantly, that time will shorten.
