Hello everybody,
At approximately 2017-10-08 20:08Z, a massive power outage occured at
the datacentre of the ISP used by Iron Realms Entertainment. This power
outage resulted in approximately eight and a half (8.5) hours of
downtime. After about two hours into the downtime, services started
being restored, including the game servers of Lusternia, Achaea, and
Aetolia. Lusternia's game server was shut down at this time in order to
prevent data corruption, desynchronisation from our registration
servers, and issues resulting from not being able to connect to internal
IRE services. Several further obstacles, including non-recoverable loss
of hardware, led to an elongated duration of the outage. All five IRE
games have, at this time, had full restoration of functionality.
Our personal loss seems to have been between 2 and 20 minutes of data
loss. We have audited our credit logs and compensated anybody who has
made a purchase in this time. It is recommended to check your data to
ensure you did not lose any non-credit/dingbat/aethergoop items. We are
unable to restore these, but whatever you obtained them with should not
have been taken.
Due to the excessive length of this outage, we will be enabling double
experience for the next 72 hours as of this newspost being raised.
Thank you for your patience,
Ianir the Anomaly.
