As diseased furrikin appeared around the Basin, it was Ixion who first rushed to their aid. However he and others soon found out that they had become victim to a terrible corruption which manifested upon their healing. In a most gruesome display, their bodies sprouted flailing tentacles and their bodies swelled up until they exploded. As fleshy remains rained down, those who sought to lend their help became hurt and afflicted with insanity and other dire conditions. This made their task more difficult, but did not steer them away from success.

Soon Ixion was followed of Veyils and Aeldra, as they too wanted to show their worth of bearing the Medallion of Life. In time, Veyils overtook Ixion, with Aeldra holding steady into the third position, until overtaken in the end by Taevyn. And so it was too that the challenge ended, with Veyils as the victor of the Challenge of Life, scoring a total of 57 points.
