On the 20th of Klangiary, 496 years after the Coming of Estarra, the
Trial of Death commenced to find the mightiest of the mighty to defend
the Seal of Death and become its Sealbearer. Ominous activities were
afoot as a chaotic cloud rallied around the Peak, just before the
Challenge began.

As the Trial kicked off, Jaspet of Glomdoring took a massive lead,
followed closely by Danquik of Gaudiguch and fellow commune member,
Yendor. The three maintained their places for much of the Trial, but
then, rends in the fabric of reality upset the natural balance of the
Challenge. Hordes of Golden Bulls, Many-Eyed Hawks, Voracious Felkins,
Visions of Toxin, Shattered Samovars, and Turgid Leeches assault the
Basin of Life, attempting to thwart the contenders as they fought for
supremacy over Death.

To deter and prevent the atrocities from fouling the Trial, those who
felled the twisted creations were rewarded handsomely in points. As each
one died, more poured in around the Basin and allowed quite the upset in
rankings as those pursuing the invaders made leaps and bounds in points!

Finally, with booming explosions and dramatic self-sacrifices, Kalas
Ixion overtook Jaspet in the final moments of the Challenge to stand
victorious above all others!

Congratulations to Kalas Ixion, who becomes the newest bearer of the
Seal of Death!
