As there is at least one Trademaster for a private cartel (Isis of the
Black Lotus) and elections on their way for the public cartels, I'd like
to take a moment to emphasize that there are two types of designs each
Trademaster may submit:

(1) Cartel design: These designs are only available to the cartel
members. Only one design per game year may be submitted. If a design is
inappropriate or unacceptable (and we do set high standards), the
administration will work with you to make it acceptable.

(2) Public design: Each month we may (or may not) ask for cartels to
submit public designs. If a design is accepted, it will be available to
all who have the corresponding trade skill. There is absolutely no
guaranty that a public design will be accepted. We consider a variety of
factors before accepting a public design, including but not limited to
whether it is of high enough quality, whether we think there is a need
for that type of item, and whether it is appropriate for the public.
