Guild Envoys

Since guild leaders have been selected, we would like to take a moment
to explain more fully what the duties of a guild envoy are. A guild
envoy is responsible for collecting information about the state of the
skills for the guild (which could include common skills) and submitting
a report on bugs, ideas and comments about balance. You may be more
familiar with the term 'classlead' from other realms, which is basically
what the guild envoy is. While it is important that a guild envoy have a
general knowledge of combat, it is certainly not meant that a guild
envoy must be an expert in combat or the best fighter in the guild. More
important, is an ability to communicate with the other fighters of the
guild, collect the information, and to sift through and edit that
information in a succinct report which the administration may review. In
other words, communication is the most important factor here.
Guild envoys are important to us so that we can get a report 'from the
trenches' when we look to modifying, fixing or even adding to skills. We
will not tolerate disrespectful, intolerant, uncommunicative, or overly
critical (i.e., whining) guild envoys. If we have questions on any
particular skill or skillset of your guild, we will most likely go to
your guild envoy first. If there are bugs or concerns, you should report
them to your guld envoy to include in his or her report.
Be warned that at any moment and in our sole discretion we will remove
guild envoys who are not productive or courteous and demand that the
guild appoint another. If worse comes to worse, we will choose someone
of our own accord. Also, remember, if your guild envoy does not submit a
report on time, your guild will be overlooked or have no say when we
turn to examining skills used by your guild.
