Quitting During Death

I just wanted to draw attention to a problem that has cropped up lately
with people quitting during death, then waiting until an ally who is
able to resurrect them is online to reconnect to the game and get
resurrected. I am beyond baffled that anyone could think this would be
encouraged by the administration, but as some people seem unable to
apply common sense to their actions, I shall spell it out for you all.
This is totally against the rules. It is blatantly dodging the point of
death in the game, quite apart from the fact that it's a serious OOC/IC
infraction. There is absolutely no call to be leaving the game until you
can find a buddy on an instant messenger program to resurrect you, or
anything like it. It's an obvious and unacceptable workaround of a game
feature that exists for a reason.
We will more than likely code a "mothering function" to make this tactic
a bad idea once we have completed our many more important current
projects, but until then be aware that this is against the rules, and
don't do it.
