More on Armour

There are two things with armour that may have puzzled you. What are the
numbers in ARMSTAT and what was that last number when you weapon probe
armour? Those were intended to represent how good of shape the armour is
in. Recall in my last announce that we intended to implement
wear-and-tear from the beginning but didn't finish it (and, frankly,
forgot about it). Those two things were leftovers of the unfinished
code. I have made fixes to them.
ARMSTAT should be updated to give more meaningful numbers now. It
represents what percent from perfect the armour is with respect to
damage it has received. It does not represent protection level since
even the most beat-up armour (0% from perfect) offers some level of
protection. Also, that number in weapon probe was supposed to be the
same thing, but for flavour I modified it to give descriptive text.
One last thing you will notice, which also was part of what was
originally started with the armour-damage thing, is that as armour
decays, the level to which you can repair it will decrease. So that
there is no sudden swing in armour quality with this reload, I decided
to reset the decay time for everyone's armour just now so everything
should appear brand-spanking-new.
And yes, the forging rune that beefs up the decay time will also allow
you to repair it more than you otherwise could.
