On the evening of the first of Dioni, Lord Fain gathered a group of
Magnagorans and Urlach followers at a hidden grave site near the
Shallach river. He explained to the group that He had been receiving
spiritual messages from a creature buried at this very place, but was
unable to understand him until the Magnagorans had retrieved the Horn of
Urlach, which was done previous to the ritual. Using His dark powers,
Fain brought the orclach shaman Gruvar, who was buried at the site, back
to life in order to question him about the disappearance of the Fortress
of Shallach. Utilizing the knowledge given to Him by the creature, Fain
followed the undead orclach to the very spot at which Shallach stood,
but discovered that it was sealed off by Urlach's magic. Fain then
demanded that the barrier be broken, and forced His loyal followers to
gather bodies for a ritual sacrifice in order to break the barrier.
Through the sacrifices, the barrier was weakened, and the horn of Urlach
was sounded by a young ur'guard trooper named Knall, an orclach
representative of his race. The Horn obliterated what remained of the
barrier and the followers of Fain entered the fortress shrouded in
mystery, and delved deep into the Catacombs of Urlach. What is to become
of this dark discovery remains yet to be seen...
