The Lost Song of the Fae, Part One

It all began strangely, in the eyes of many. Others suspected and
waited, and others still waited with most impatience.

However, it did still begin. After decades of bloodshed in the realm of
Faethorn, the Queen Maeve spoke out, as the people of Faethorn
themselves became more vocal in their loyalty to Maeve, and most of all,
Faethorn. The Queen spoke of the distresses of the Fae, who worried of
the almost constant violence in their realm. Perhaps the violence was
needed, in some cases - in too many others, it was needless bloodshed,
staining the realm they loved so dearly. Maeve beseeched her attendance
to listen to her decree, and respect the realm, and the wishes of the
Fae.

However, before she could be pressed further, an arguement arose in the
distance. The recently wedded couple could be heard yelling, but by the
time the attendance went to seek out the commotion, the dark haired fae
known as Perriwinkle was gone - only a sobbing Butter remained near the
stoves. The cakes she loved to make so dearly, it was found out through
Ferlas's comforting words, were the cause of the arguement - and the
reason behind Perriwinkle's disappearance.

People began to search for Perriwinkle - the Queen Maeve expressed
concerns before fainting, but the words themselves were vague, but
nonetheless troubling. Could Perriwinkle be up to something? Or, as
people came to ask, someone else up to something using Perriwinkle?
Searching far and wide for answers, from the knights of the Faethorn
realm, to the kelpie sisters of the Prime seas, none managed to be
found. None could locate the dark haired fae that seemed to have Butter
so distraught.

After months, however, Perriwinkle was again spotted - speaking with
other fae of the realm, speaking passionately about his cause. Swayed by
his arguements, the ones known as Antris, the Falconer, and Laeroc, the
Queen's own consort, pushed finally into agreeance by ongoing disrespect
shown to the realm and the Queen's Court. The words, 'Thornroot' were
left to whisper on the wind.

Butter became both determined and refused to accept, or give aide to
any. It seemed to some, as if she was almost under a spell, but this was
proven incorrect. Regret ringing in her words, the Fae Knights were
brought to meetings with her. The Fae girl herself began singing a
strange song, but was quickly chastened into silence when many came to
surround her. All too soon, however, her partial silence dissolved into
full silence.

Penned by My hand on the 15th of Tzarin, in the year 144 CE.
