Upcoming Updates

This week, I'll be converting a few more afflictions to the Overhaul
system: Addiction, anorexia, and stupidity. All three will be mental
afflictions, cured by the lucidity slush potion. In addition to the
conversion, addiction will replace gluttony and stupidity will replace
daydreaming, narcolepsy, and hypersomnia.
Further, dementia will be replaced by the already-converted clumsiness,
and hypochondria will be replaced by the already-converted paranoia.
This will mark a milestone in the Overhaul process - the full set of our
Overhaul mental afflictions will be completely converted, with only a
few unreplaced stragglers (such as impatience and deadening) which
cannot currently be converted due to undesirable interactions with
non-Overhaul mechanics.
Anorexia currently blocks both eating and drinking - this will be
modified as part of the Overhaul. Once the Overhaul is complete,
Anorexia will function to block only eating, while another affliction in
a different branch will block drinking. However, in order to prevent
issues with non-Overhauled mechanics, after the conversion anorexia will
block both eating and drinking, with an exception in place for lucidity
slush potion (since otherwise anorexia becomes uncurable!). Once the
conversion for the drink-blocking affliction is done at a later date
(which will likely be near the end of the affliction stage of the
Overhaul), anorexia will be changed to globally block only eating.
