The truth behind the mask

Salutations,
I assume congratulations are in order, Esano of the Masquerade. The Lord
of Maggots and Flies has chosen His newest patsy. Well done, indeed.
Shaddus has always been an unimpressive specimen, perhaps you will
return luster lost by his presence on the Crimson Council.
I opted not to intervene in the Masquerade's previous dealings, but such
a bold post on behalf of the Red Masque attracted my attention.
To Celest and Lady Malicia, I offer nothing for you have seen through
the uninspiring arrogance of the Red Masque's stooge. Behold the truth
of your "allies," and abandon them. Leave them to tear themselves apart
like jackals, as they are taught to do.
For the Masquerade of the Red Masque, I have only amusement. Amnesty,
you say? Amnesty from what, I ask. The terrifying legions of the Red
Masque who have done done little but fall beneath the might of the
Truth? I, the mortal who most grievously wronged Him have felt not but
an disgruntled stare on the Masquerade's behalf. Perhaps from the
inescapable fate of "His Basin." Do you offer them a chance to grovel at
His feet when the forests burn and the oceans boil? I, who wrote such
words, know they are little more than scraps of hope tossed from His
throne to keep the week willed and easily fooled in His grasp.
You needn't answer, for we all know the truth behind the mask. You offer
nothing but words, and clumsy words at that. Long gone are the days of
Morvior, Sthai, and even Celina who offered prestige and cunning to
Fain's Masquerade.
Crouch beside his feet or shake off the shackles of Crimson oppressions.
These are the words of Truth.
