Well, in every other IRE game I've played, I somehow always manage to make my name gender non-specific. I was rather tired of being referred to as a he, so I tried to come up with something fairy-sounding that was also feminine, but not girly. I think I accomplished what I was setting out to do.

There's a simple rule to naming your characters to be masculine/femenine :
If there's a vowel at the end, it's female. This works in 90% of the cases, and even if you hadn't noticed this before, you probably followed the rule anyway. Y's are still the iffy one. R's and O's are also iffy, no idea why.
With poor Nys being in that 10%. *consoles*

Tacita means silent one. I chose it because she is a head-down-and-work type, but now that she's a Harbinger and worshipper of Nocht it is also amusingly ironic and fitting respectively.

I still highly recommend actually purchasing those books, particularly the three core books, as flipping through a phisical book is INFINITELY easier than going through a digital copy. (Though the spell list has the distinct advantage of being able to be CTRL+F'd)
Aerotan came from a failed video game a friend of mine and I were planning. It was a wind-based character, so we used the word Aero then added tan to make it sound like a person, along the same vein as croatian or something.
Syridean is gaelic and means seeker, if memory serves. I pronounce it seer-i-DEE-en
Lesk is a modified form of the name Alex. God knows where I came up with it.
Tyrni was a random collection of letters I thought sounded cool. Pronounced TEAR-knee
Torre was originally supposed to be a Geomancer. Then I switched to Nihilist last minute during character creation. Pronounced like the past tense of the word tear.
Tande is another random collection of words. The e isn't silent, both vowels are short. It comes out rhyming with panda in an odd way.
Akui came about from wanting to make something with a bit of an African feel to it, and going by ear.
Turns out, there is a place in the Solomon Islands named "Auki", which I never knew until I saw Where the Hell is Matt.
It also turns out that there is some cartoon/comic site named Akui: ill-intent. I should try and get some comissioned art from them or something. It would be appropriate.

Um, Hadrian just popped into my head. That's it. When I try to think of something, I always come up with icky names, and it's usually the ones that just pop into my head that I stick with. Hadrian came, and I thought it was perfect for the character (common and easy to overlook, kind of serious-sounding because of the initial H so people wouldn't bug me too much), so I went with that. Working nicely so far on the easy-to-overlook front, I think like five people in Lusty know me.
