19.3 CLIENTS

A client is software that connects to Lusternia to let you play it. It can be either browser-based, downloadable, or a mobile app. While it is possible to connect using a basic TELNET client, programs designed specifically for MUDs can provide many extra useful (and, some might say, necessary) features for getting the fullest possible experience playing Lusternia.

The best option to play Lusternia with is the Nexus 3.0 client, which is our official client and is a powerful cross-platform client available in your browser, standalone, or as an app. You can find more information about it under HELP NEXUS CLIENT.

It is also possible to install a third-party MUD client on your local machine, and connect to Lusternia that way. When setting up a third-party client, use the host name lusternia.com, and port 23 or 2003. A few popular third-party clients  that include:
