6.16 GUIDES

Guides are characters who exist solely to help newbies. If one is on-line, typing BW/QW or WHO will display them in bright yellow (provided you have ansi turned on). Currently, Spindle, Skein and Bobbins are the Guide characters.

If you are a newbie, feel free to call on them for help whenever you please, either by speaking on the newbie channel or by asking them directly via tell.


THINGS THE GUIDES CAN DO FOR YOU

o Help you select a new name proper for Lusternia (see HELP NAMECHANGE).
o Start you in the tour (the newbie intro) if needed.
o Give you ideas about how to play in Lusternia.
o Give you hints about a few of the quests in Newton Caverns.


THINGS THE GUIDES SHOULD NOT DO FOR YOU

Guides are not messengers, or liaisons with the Gods. Please do not ask them to contact other immortals for you. If you need to contact an immortal, use ISSUE ME.

If you are not a newbie, this is especially important. Do not ask for help finding someone to make your wedding official. Spindle, Bobbins and Skein have been instructed to ignore all such requests. ISSUE ME and make your request there.


HOW TO CONTACT THE GUIDES

You may speak on the newbie channel by typing NEWBIE <your text>. You may talk directly and privately to Spindle, Bobbins or Skein by using TELL SPINDLE <your message here> (or TELL SKEIN, etc).
